Who are PADI?
PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors)
is the largest recreational diving organisation in the world, providing
diver education from entry level SCUBA certification up to professional
membership.
Professional PADI members (Dive Centres, Instructors,
Assistant instructors & Divemasters) teach most of the world’s
recreational divers while maintaining the highest industry standards for
dive training, safety and customer service. The PADI System of diver
education is based on progressive training that introduces skills,
safety related information and local environmental knowledge to students
in stages, beginning with the Open Water Diver certification. All the
PADI programmes, entry-level through instructor training, fall under
strict educational standards to maintain worldwide consistency and
quality.
So, whether you complete your training in Lochcarron
or the Seychelles, you will have mastered the skills that will be
recognised in any PADI dive centre around the world. |
What do PADI
offer?
PADI provides PADI Members (Dive Centres, Resorts,
Education facilities & Instructors) with complete curricula and training
materials for a variety of experience programmes and certification
courses, from introductory programmes, such as Discover Scuba Diving, to
leadership level training such as Divemaster.
PADI
programmes are performance-based, which allows students to progress at
their own pace. Students begin diver training by using PADI’s
independent study materials and continue learning under the guidance of
an instructor, this includes classroom sessions, confined water training
sessions & open water training and experience.
